This Funeral Director Shares Why She’s Passionate About Working at CRäKN

Meet Diane Gardner, a Customer Success Manager at CRäKN. “I work with funeral homes to ensure CRäKN is working perfectly for them. I also make sure they are utilizing all the time saving opportunities that are possible for them with CRäKN,” she explains.

As a funeral director herself, Diane can empathize and deeply connect with all the clients she works to support each day.

Q: Are you a night owl or early bird?

I am definitely an early bird. I enjoy the quietness of the mornings.

Q: Coffee or tea?

Definitely southern sweet tea. It is the best way to start the day off right.

Q: What’s one thing you enjoy about your work right now?

I love getting to talk to and work with funeral directors from all over the country. I have found that even if they are in different states, all funeral directors share a passion for families. As a funeral director myself, that resonates with me.

Q: CRäKN is helping to make work more streamlined and efficient for funeral directors. What are the tools you are using right now that help you simplify your work and life?

I love Google Calendar. It’s on my phone and I have it set to sync with other apps so I know where I need to be, and when.

Q: What is something else you are passionate about beyond helping CRäKN clients?

I live on Lake Hamilton in Arkansas, and being outside on the water is a passion. Whether we are just riding around or enjoying the sunset from the water, I find it very soothing. Sitting on the dock watching the wildlife can’t be beat either! I am also a crafty person who loves trying out new crafts and perfecting the older ones. Baking is a stress reliever for me, and cheesecake is my specialty.

Q: What’s something that might surprise CRäKN clients to learn about you?

Recently, I hit 7 out of 9 races at Oaklawn Park (a racetrack and casino in Hot Springs, Arkansas). I pick my horses by name or color. :)

Q: What is something you’ve learned since joining the CRäKN team?

I have learned that even if we use different methods, approaches, or strategies—which vary in different parts of the country—people in the funeral industry all have one common goal: to serve the family.

Q: Last question: What are you most looking forward to in the coming months?

I am looking forward to helping more funeral homes take care of families. The best part of CRäKN team is that it allows the director to focus on what’s important: the family! I love being a part of that!
