How secure is my data?
We employ above average industry standards for security. Passwords are stored hashed in the database, not in plain text. All connections to and from our application are under SSL / HTTPs (that means really secure). We encrypt sensitive data such as social security numbers and documents and we log any and all access.
Can I get my historical data into the system?
Yes – you can. Each funeral home has their own unique situation and systems in place, so there isn’t one way to tell you how this works, but we’d love to talk to you about how we might do this for you. Can you imagine if we got your past 30 years of information into one place that is searchable? We can…We know because we have done it for one of our customers already.
Does this require yet another place to enter information?
No – even if you are using case management software today. You are “entering” contact information on pink message cards or writing on a whiteboard today. The challenge with those tools is that they aren’t recorded, searchable or viewable by the staff from anywhere, at anytime. Some of our customers choose to integrate with other systems, so in that case, you’ll eliminate multiple data entry points - YEAH!
How does training work?
If you’ve ever used Facebook, bought anything online or used a smartphone, you’ll be able to use CRäKN effectively. However, we also know that you may not want to roll this out to your staff without training. So, we have options that best suit you and your team: online, self-help or in person. Also, as we roll out new features, we’ll send you updates and provide guidance when you log into the software after the updates are made. Easy, huh?
What about support when I have a question?
We take phone calls, but for an even faster response, we have embedded an online “chat” capability into the software. So when you are in the software and have a question, just click. If for some reason we’re on a coffee break, you can type your question and we’ll get right back to you.
How long does it take to get started?
We’ll answer that with a question: When do you want to get started? We’re here to help you get set up and your team started as soon as you’d like. How about tomorrow?
If I use a call answering service, can I make it available to them? Does it cost more?
Yes – you can make it available to them and no, it doesn’t cost more. What’s great about giving access to your answering service is that it works in what we call “two way” communication. Not only can your service provider enter contacts as they take calls, but your whiteboard can be shared with them, so that they can answer questions that they often get. Life just got easier for everyone.
